Position Overview: CompassData is seeking a highly experienced, technically skilled Geospatial Survey Crew Chief to lead the daily execution of geospatial field survey operations. This individual is responsible for hiring, training, and managing a high-performing field team—ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe data collection in alignment with project timelines, budgets, and requirements set by the Project Manager.
This position requires expertise in traditional GNSS/GPS survey methods as well as mobile mapping (Trimble MX50 and MX60), UAV LiDAR, and terrestrial LiDAR systems. The Geospatial Survey Crew Chief serves as the first line of communication from the field, orchestrating deployment and execution, maintaining technical standards, and ensuring project goals are met or exceeded.

A good candidate will be self-motivated, technically savvy, able to travel within a week to two weeks’ notice and can use Google/Microsoft products such as Google Earth and Microsoft Excel.
