Position Overview: We are seeking an in-office Project Manager to lead fast-paced, highly technical geospatial projects from concept to completion. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in coordination and logistics, who thrives in environments with many moving parts, communicates well across teams, and brings a high level of organization, discipline, and focus to managing complex deliverables under pressure.
The Project Manager serves as the central hub between clients, survey crews, internal teams, and vendors. You will manage multiple concurrent projects—each with unique requirements, timelines, and budgets—ensuring that every effort is delivered on time, on budget, and within CompassData quality standards.
You’ll participate directly in cost estimating and budgeting during the bidding process, define internal budgets, and ensure both field execution and internal delivery meet or exceed targets. This role includes oversight of field operations and leadership of production team staffing, including hiring and performance reviews.

Field Crew Manager

Position Overview: CompassData is seeking a highly experienced, technically skilled Field Crew Manager to lead the daily execution of geospatial field survey operations. This individual is responsible for hiring, training, and managing a high-performing field team—ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe data collection in alignment with project timelines, budgets, and requirements set by the Project Manager.
This position requires expertise in traditional GNSS/GPS survey methods as well as mobile mapping (Trimble MX50 and MX60), UAV LiDAR, and terrestrial LiDAR systems. The Field Crew Manager serves as the first line of communication from the field, orchestrating deployment and execution, maintaining technical standards, and ensuring project goals are met or exceeded.
