$ $60,000 - $90,000 Annually

The Position:

The ideal candidate is a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or a Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT). The qualified Surveyor will perform Boundary and Topographical Surveys and prepare Right-of-Way Survey, Land Boundary Survey and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys. The position requires proficiency in post processing GPS data, Total Station data, and providing visual interpretation of field data, satellite, and aerial imagery. Office and field work are a requirement for this position. This is a full-time position with a complete benefit package.


  • Licensed PLS or Land Surveyor in Training
  • Perform differential corrections, network adjustments, and final coordinate transformations
  • Processing of raw field data
  • Prepare Right-of-Way Survey/Land Boundary Survey
  • Research Boundary Surveys
  • Utilize Google Earth, StreetView, ArcMap and Global Mapper
  • QA/QC existing data and modify to meet customer requirements
  • Creating standard deliveries via survey plan sheets and digital survey data
  • Experience with GPS, Robotic Total Stations, Data Collectors. Additional mapping equipment desired includes drones, mobile mapping, and backpack mapping
  • Communication and coordination with the Field Crew Manager, Field Crews, Operations Manager and Project Controls

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Professional Licensed Surveyor or Licensed Surveyor in Training
  • Recommended 1 or more years of professional experience in the field as a PLS or LSIT
  • Field Survey experience using Trimble and/or Leica Geosystems systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills working in a team environment or independently
  • Detailed and methodical
  • Self-Starter with a positive attitude

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong work ethic with open and honest communication

Recommended Tools and Software Experience:

  • Trimble Business Center (highest priority)
  • Autodesk Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
  • Trimble and/or Leica Geosystems systems
  • NGS Toolkit
  • ESRI ArcGIS /GlobalMapper
  • Google Earth /Streetview
  • Microsoft Office products
  • Any GNSS differential correction software suites

The Location: CompassData Inc. is based in Denver Tech Center, CO. off Belleview and I-25. Most of this work is office based.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 Annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant)
