ISO 9001: 2008 Certification; Quality Assurance, Continual Improvement and Customer Satisfaction

At CompassData, we are proud to announce that we have received ISO 9001:2008 Certification for our Quality Management Systems from Orion Registrar, Inc. This certification has been established in the United States and globally as an extremely valuable quality management system tool.

In order to earn this certification, we completed an audit in which Orion Registrar, Inc. reviewed each step of our quality management processes associated with creating GPS-surveyed ground control and other geospatial products including Digital Elevation Models, GIS map products, sensor calibrations and orthorectified imagery. The audit found that we at CompassData have established an effective quality management system that addresses our core practice of supplying ground control points for the geospatial community.

One of the key elements in demonstrating our quality management system to the registrar was our superior ability to understand and satisfy the requirements of our customers.  At CompassData, we are proud to have set ourselves apart from our competitors by becoming one of the limited number of geospatial survey data providers with quality management systems and process that have earned ISO 9001 certification.

This certification provides our customers with assurance that we are committed to meeting their needs by utilizing standardized procedures that have been verified as conforming to ISO 9001:2008 requirements. This ensures that our customers know and trust that the product they receive from CompassData has been created through consistent internal processes.
